Hi 5.7 !!!
How are all of you over the hols?? Have you been dutifully washing your hands and keeping good hygiene habits?? Well well, from my previous posting till now, the number of people infected by the H1 N1 virus flu has risen considerably within a couple of weeks and its been the priority update in the news every evening.
Well, i'm sure by now, most of you would have returned from your holidays and I certainly hope you have enjoyed your holiday. Even if you may not have travelled, I hope you also had a well-rested holiday too.
As usual, the hols have wheezed by so quickly....Just in case, you're wondering if school is going to close, it was just reported today that school will reopen as scheduled. There is no closure of school as of now.
As part of a precautionary measure, if anyone of you have gone to the affected countries (listed in Ministry of Health website) during your holidays, you would need to stay at home for 7 days starting from the next day you are back in Singapore. It's a crucial period now for everyone to practise personal responsibility by being considerate and staying home if you are unwell and seeking treatment immediately if there are flu symptoms.
Do take note of the country and dates you have been travelling overseas and be prepared to bring back the travel declaration forms that will be sent to you once school reopens.
As for now, do continue to keep fit and healthy. Drink loads of water and I'll look forward to seeing all of you back in school to charge on for the new term. Even though this may be a tough period for many people fighting the virus in Singapore and all over the world, let's be strong and also do our best to fight our personal challenges in the new term.
Meanwhile take good cares and till then....pack your bags and get your thermometers ready!!
