Here's a warm welcome to all of you to our class blog - Dreamcatchez@5.7 !!! It is my hope that all of you will work towards your dreams and aspirations. Thus the name of our class blog - so that we would constantly remind ourselves to pursue our dreams with passion and fervour.
Now, I hope all of you are gradually settling down into the pace of the academic year. I know its quite a leap from Pr 4 to Pr 5 and it will be a challenging year ahead for all of us, that's for sure. Nevertheless, rest assured that it will definitely be a fun-filled and fulfilling year for all of you, so just look forward to the upcoming events in the year!
While some of you may worry that you aren't catching up as fast as you should in your work, rest assured that I'm here to guide all of you through. I must emphasize the need for all of you to be in focus of your goals and targets you hope to achieve for yourselves and always strive to work towards them.
NEVER lose hope in yourself in the face of challenges or setbacks. I'm confident that all of you will do your very best.
If ever in doubt, please feel free to pose questions or talk to me about your problems / difficulties (if you have any). Don't be shy to admit anything you don't know as asking questions is the only way you will ever learn new things. It would be terrible if one was ignorant and yet didn't realize it, don't you think??
Well, just a few things to note before we kick-start our blog reflections and online discussions. There are some rules I would like all of you to strictly follow as responsible 5.7 Netizens:
- Be polite and courteous at all times. Remember that you're not communicating with a computer screen, but with a human being who has thoughts and feelings just like you. So, always think of the person on the receiving end of your messages.
- Do not TYPE ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS for emphasis. IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING. If you need to emphasize a word, use asterisks, like *this* or lines, like _this_.
Or you could insert emoticons to better convey your expressions.
- Don't flame. Do not send rude or offensive e-mails or postings.
- Always identify yourself clearly in chat boxes or any online discussions.
Please use the same online name all the time. I stress that it is extremely rude to make comments without identifying yourself or to impersonate someone else's identity.
- Don't break any laws. When you're on the net, follow the same rules of behavior that you would in real life. Remember, if it is against the law in the real world, it is against the law in cyberspace.
