Week 2 - School Vision,Mission, Values

Hi 5-sevens!
We're moving on quickly into the 2nd week of term and I'm glad that i am finally able to remember all of your names and gradually getting to know more of you better. It's great to see that many of you have set up very interesting blogs for yourselves and i must commend you for your enthusiasm and initiative. :)

Now, this year, you would find that our school is placing alot of focus on our school values. Remember earlier in week one, we went through SPICES and what they represented?
I'm just wondering if all of you have taken a close look at the first few pages of your school handbook? Or perhaps noticed the banners and posters around the school surroundings? Have you stopped to look at the title headings of our school website??
Are you aware of the school Vision, Mission and Values in APS??
Do you know what they are???

Over this weekend, I invite all of you to find out more about what they are and reflect upon the following questions in your next posting:

1) Based on your understanding, what do these value statements mean to you?

2) Do you strive to live up to our school values? Why?

3) As a student of APS, what sort of behaviour/actions would demonstrate our school values?? Give example.

4) What activities do you think the teachers can organise in class and in school to help students learn the values?

I'll look forward to read about your interpretation of the school's values and how much you know about these values.
